Service Description

Experience a holistic approach to prenatal care with A Peace of Mine. Our birth doula and prenatal yoga services are designed to support and guide you through the journey of pregnancy and childbirth. From providing emotional and physical support during labor to helping you stay active and relaxed with prenatal yoga, we are here to ensure your peace of mind and well-being throughout this special time.


Cancellation Policy

Birth Doula Policy Scope of Services The doula provides non-medical emotional, physical, and informational support during pregnancy, labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period. The doula does not provide medical care, diagnosis, treatment, clinical assessments, or medical advice and does not replace a licensed medical provider or midwife. Home Birth & Hospital Birth Home Birth: Services are provided under the care of a licensed midwife. The doula does not interfere with medical care or emergency decisions. In the event of hospital transfer, continued support is subject to hospital policy and circumstances. Hospital Birth: Services are provided in accordance with hospital policies. The doula will not obstruct medical care and may be asked to step out during procedures or emergencies. On-Call & Attendance The doula is on call 24/7 beginning at 37 weeks gestation until birth. Attendance at the birth is not guaranteed due to illness, emergency, or simultaneous births. Client Responsibilities Clients agree to maintain prenatal care with a licensed provider, communicate promptly when labor begins or plans change, and understand that birth outcomes and circumstances are unpredictable. Advocacy & Decision-Making All medical decisions remain the responsibility of the client and medical provider. The doula supports informed decision-making but does not speak on behalf of the client or make decisions. Limitations The doula does not perform medical procedures, vaginal exams, fetal monitoring, administer medications, or provide emergency medical care. Payment & Refunds Payment must be completed by 36 weeks gestation. Fees are non-refundable once the on-call period begins. If the doula is unable to attend due to circumstances within her control and no backup attends, a partial refund may be issued as outlined in the contract. Liability Release The client acknowledges that childbirth carries inherent risks and agrees to release the doula from liability related to medical outcomes, emergency situations, or decisions made by the client or medical providers. Agreement By signing this agreement and submitting payment, the client acknowledges understanding and acceptance of this policy.
